TAYLOR SWIFT PROVING MORE IS LESS...

From the law firm-style logo to the surprise drop deluxe, Taylor is doing too much!

The original album having 16 tracks was a perfectly reasonable amount for an album, the deluxe dropping 2 hours after the album was a very strange rollout move.

There comes a time when the fact you are the only writer on your album is not a flex, the past few Taylor albums are reinstating this echo chamber of self-pity that her cult-like following will eat up every time.

While she does tend to hold herself accountable it does come across as 'I know I'm the problem, but because I know that, I'm the victim'

To further drop an additional 15 tracks, two hours into the album era, was a very bizarre move... Swifties are a greedy fanbase, constantly dissecting everything Swift does to figure out when they are getting their next bible verse. After countless re-recorded albums with plenty of additional tracks, not to mention while Taylor Swift is undergoing a tour, to feed them with a 31-song album is, in my opinion, fuel for them to view Taylor as a product and run her operation like a big machine.

I do want to acknowledge that I do advocate for Taylor and the empowerment she provides for white women. however this is a rollout review, and the rollout for 'The Tortured Poets Department' is horrendous.

She undeniably has writing talent and vocal talents but not in terms of her ability or range, but more in terms of how she never seems to stop.

This era of her career really could've just been about her re-recorded albums, yet it seems to be about getting as much material out as quickly as possible.

eventually the Swiftie cult will get bored of the repetitive cycle, or start expecting too much that Taylor cannot keep up with. Always remember to support the artist alongside the art, they are people not products.
